Thames Valley Branch

The Thames Valley Branch covers a large area to the West of London and includes towns such as Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead, High Wycombe, Henley-on-Thames, Reading and all surrounding areas. Membership is open to everyone with ataxia, their family, friends and carers.

The Thames Valley Group, which became a Branch in the autumn of 2007, has members from Middlesex to Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire down into Hampshire. Our monthly meetings are usually held in the Maidenhead area, which although being central, is not convenient for all our members. Because of this we have a regular news letter and also keep in touch via e-mail, distributing news items received from Ataxia UK. We feel it is important that sufferers of this rare condition and their carers can have contact with others and, where possible, meet up and share their experiences and gain support, so new members are always welcome. We are constantly striving to provide activities for suffers focusing on fun and enjoyment.

Meetings are held monthly at the SportsAble building on the Braywick sports ground, located on the A308 just south of Maidenhead. Alcoholic drinks may be purchased but tea and coffee will be provided.
